Common faults of medical hydraulic transport folding stretcher

2024-12-12

The medical hydraulic transport folding stretcher is a device used for patient transport, usually used in hospitals, emergency vehicles, and ambulances. Its main feature is that the height is adjusted through the hydraulic system, which facilitates the comfort and safety of patients during transfer. Since it involves hydraulic systems and folding mechanisms, some common faults include:

1. Hydraulic system failure

Hydraulic lifting failure: The hydraulic system cannot lift normally, which may be caused by hydraulic oil leakage, insufficient hydraulic oil or oil circuit blockage. The solution is to check the hydraulic oil level and ensure that the oil circuit is unobstructed, and replace the oil pipe or hydraulic oil if necessary.

Hydraulic oil leakage: Hydraulic oil leakage is usually caused by damaged seals, loose oil pipes or cracks. It is necessary to check the various components of the hydraulic system, find the leak point, and repair or replace the damaged part.

Hydraulic pump failure: If the hydraulic pump is damaged or fails, it may cause the hydraulic system to fail to work properly. Check whether the hydraulic pump operates smoothly and consider repairing or replacing the pump assembly.

2. Folding mechanism problem

Folding jam: The folding mechanism of the folding stretcher may jam if used for a long time or improperly maintained. Mainly, the hinges, locks and other parts of the folding are affected by dust, dirt, rust, etc., resulting in inflexible movement. The hinge parts should be cleaned regularly and lubricated.

Folding mechanism damage: During long-term use, the folding mechanism may become loose or parts may break. It is necessary to check the hinges, buckles, locking devices and other parts, and replace the damaged parts in time.

3. Braking system failure

Braking failure: The brake system of the stretcher is used to fix the stretcher to prevent it from moving during use. If the brake is loose, damaged or stuck, the stretcher may not be effectively fixed. Check the brake device regularly to ensure that the brake system is working properly.

Insensitive brakes: Failure or insensitivity of the brake device may be caused by dirty or worn brake parts. Clean the brake parts, check whether the brakes are severely worn, and replace the brake parts if necessary.

4. Wheel and bracket problems

The wheels are stuck or rotate poorly: If the wheels of the stretcher are stuck or rotate poorly due to dirt, damage or rust, it will affect the push and stability of the stretcher. It is necessary to clean the wheels, check the axles and lubricate them in time.

Wheel wear: After long-term use, the wheels of the stretcher will wear out. Check the tire wear and replace the wheels if necessary.

5. Safety belt and fixing device problems

Loose or ineffective safety belt: If the stretcher is equipped with a safety belt or fixing device, loosening, damage or inability to lock is one of the common faults. Check the buckle and fixing parts of the safety belt to ensure its reliability.

Fixed device damage: If there is a device to fix the patient on the stretcher (such as guardrails, brackets, etc.), if it is loose or damaged, it may affect the safety of the patient. Regular inspection and timely repair are required.

6. Stretcher surface damage

Surface wear or damage: The surface of the stretcher may be worn or cracked due to friction, impact, etc., affecting the appearance and service life. The surface material of the stretcher needs to be checked regularly and the damaged parts need to be repaired in time.

Difficult to clean stains: If the surface of the stretcher is not cleaned for a long time, stains may accumulate, affecting the comfort of the patient. Clean the stretcher regularly and use antibacterial materials or coatings to reduce stain adhesion.

7. Other electrical problems

Electric lifting failure: Some hydraulic transport stretchers may have an electric lifting function. If the battery is low, the line connection is loose, or the motor is damaged, the electric lifting may fail.

Through timely inspection and maintenance, the service life of the medical hydraulic transport folding stretcher can be significantly extended to ensure the safety and comfort of patients during transportation.
